Many performance experts estimate success is 80% mindset and 20% activity. This makes sense. If hard work was the most crucial component, the most successful people, in every field, would be the hardest workers. Even the most casual observation demonstrates this is not true.
Our mindset has an enormous impact on every aspect of our lives from career to love.  A positive mindset paves our way to everything we want in life, while a negative one constantly drags us down, like a millstone, around our neck.
It is often said that you can adopt a new mindset in 21 days of doing daily positive affirmations, watching subliminal videos and/or similar activities. Is this true? Let’s look at an example.
You are 35 years old and you have a common mindset that “you weren’t meant to do anything big?”. Or your mindset could be “you’re basically a timid person”. Or some other limiting mindset. You know it isn’t compatible with the career and life you want.  You want to get a new one.
Score one for you. You awareness puts you well ahead of the majority, who never question their limiting mindset. But, can you replace it with a more positive one in just 21 days?
Not likely. The unwanted mindset has had 35 years to take deep root in both your conscious and subconscious  It has built fast, efficient neural pathways throughout your nervous system. It has become your automatic thought pattern. It is part of you.
Your mindset has also shaped your world. There is something called confirmation bias, which causes us to notice and attract people, information and experiences into our lives, which confirm our biases. Not only do your thoughts reflect the unwanted mindset. Your environment reflects it too.
This means you tend to read books, watch movies, listen to conversations, vote for politicians, belong to unions, have friends etc. who reflect your present mindset. Generally, your whole world confirms and reinforces it. It will not go away easily. To believe you can completely replace it in just 21 days is setting yourself up for disappointment and frustration.
You Need a Scorched Earth Policy
If we are serious about adopting a new mindset, we need to adopt a scorched earth policy towards everything that fights against it. This means making changes in what we read and expose ourself to, how we spend our time and, above all, the people we hang out with.
Nothing has a stronger influence on a person than the people they spend the most time with. As Jim Rohn famously noted;“You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” We can’t succeed in changing an unwanted mindset as long as we surround ourselves with people who reflect it.
Hanging out consistently with the wrong people drags us down, and makes it impossible to adopt an improved mindset. Hanging out with the right people will do much of the heavy lifting of adopting your desired mindset. Such people make positive change natural and almost effortless. So we need to be choosy about what we accept in our lives and even choosier about who we spend time with. This means ending or reducing relationships with people with unwanted mindsets.
It Takes Real Sustained Effort to Change Your Mindset
Truthfully, it could take two or three years of sustained effort to fully adopt a new mindset. Beginning to adopt a new mindset is like crawling on a dirt road versus zipping along on the fast, smooth superhighway of your old mindset.
You should expect slow progress, as your new mindset takes root. Most of your early victories will be small. Barely perceptible, in fact. Your  early changes whisper to you. They don’t shout. For instance, you find yourself thinking just a little more confidently than you used to. You find yourself being a little more proactive, without thinking about it. You find yourself seeking challenges you used to avoid.
Slowly your new mindset begins to compete with the old unwanted mindset. It scores a few victories here and there. You cheer it on. This inspires you to increase your efforts and determination. Change come in stages; bit by bit. Celebrate each small and large victory along the way! Of course, there is never a final destination, but the journey is much more fulfilling in every way!

Nobody knows exactly how subliminal messages work on our brains. However, their impact on our thinking, and behavior, is believed to be so powerful that it is illegal for advertisers to use them in many countries. One thing is obvious. Subliminal messages concentrate our thinking on the topic of the messages. Since thoughts attract like thoughts, the Law of Attraction dictates our thought process can be gradually altered by consistent exposure to subliminal messages.

By choosing to consistently expose ourselves to empowering subliminal messages, we may use them to improve our lives. For instance, if we wish to be more prosperous, we may expose ourselves at least twice daily to subliminal messages which concentrate our thinking on prosperity. Many excellent subliminal message videos are available with the click of a mouse. We have this amazing choice available, friends. We may as well use it to help create improved lives and a better world!

Below are examples of subliminal message videos on three popular topics of attracting love, greater wealth, and improved health. Enjoy!

ATTRACT LOVE

GREATER WEALTH
IMPROVED HEALTH

The universe will not cooperate in a cover up.  (Arthur C. Clarke)

Suppose you took a large rock and laboriously carved it into the shape of a balloon. You paint it bright red and pump helium into it as best you can.  Next you throw the “balloon” into the air. Would you fool the Law of Gravity? Would the fake balloon float away? Or would it fall to the earth like the rock it is?

Suppose you affirmed, “I really, really, really want this to be a balloon. Look how hard I’ve worked to make it a balloon. I painted it bright red just like a balloon.  Isn’t red a great color for a balloon?  Doesn’t it look like a balloon?  I even tied a string to it just like a balloon.”

Of course, the Law of Gravity would not be fooled.  You can’t fool any natural law. That includes the Law of Attraction. The Law of Attraction brings us more of what we are. Not more of what we want.  If we are abundant in spirit, we get more abundance. If our spirit is love, we get more love. If we are healthy in spirit, we get more health. If we are friendly in spirit, we get more friends.

However, if we want abundance, but our spirit is of scarcity, we draw more scarcity into our lives. If we want love, but our spirit is needy, we attract loneliness or others who are needy. If we want good health, but our spirit is dominated by lack of health, we attract more poor health. If we want friends, but our spirit is manipulative, we draw other manipulative people into our lives.

The answer is obvious. You can’t fool the Law of Gravity. You can’t fool any natural law. This includes the Law of Attraction. The Law of Attraction brings us more of what we are. Not more of what we want. If we are abundant in spirit, we get more abundance. If we are loving in spirit, we get more love. If we are healthy in spirit, we get more health. If we are friendly in spirit, we get more friends etc.

However, if we say we want abundance, but our spirit is of lack and scarcity, we will draw more lack and scarcity into our lives. If we say we want love, but our spirit is needy; we will not get the love we say we want. We will attract loneliness and/or others who are needy. If we say we want good health, but our spirit is dominated by lack of health, we attract more lack of health. If we say we want friends, but our spirit is manipulative, we attract other manipulative people into our lives.

You can’t fool the Law of Attraction. It will only bring us what we desire if we truly embody the spirit of what we desire.

Everything we desire is a form of abundance. It may be abundance of health, energy, love, friendship, wealth, clients, dates, sex etc. The real source of every form of abundance is your relationships with yourself and others. For instance:

To enjoy an abundance of good health; you must have a good relationship with yourself.

To enjoy an abundance of friendship, you must have good relationships with your friends.

To enjoy an abundance of sex, you must have a good relationship with your lover or spouse.

To enjoy financial abundance, you must have good relationships with your clients, customers, staff, employer etc.

We do not enjoy abundance by chasing it. We enjoy abundance by cultivating and enriching our relationships.

The problem with trying to fix what we don’t like is that it steers our concentration to things we don’t desire. The Law of Attraction responds to our concentration by bringing more, of what we don’t desire, into our lives. For instance:

By attempting to quit smoking, we concentrate on what we don’t want: smoking. This reinforces the undesired habit.

By urging our partner to stop doing things which annoy us, we concentrate on those undesired things. Thus we get more of them.

By trying to end feelings of poverty and lack, we concentrate on lack, so we get more lack to concentrate on.

It is much more helpful and effective to concentrate on expanding what we do like. To do this; find experiences of what you desire that you enjoy right now and concentrate on them.

Concentrate on expanding your current healthy habits, rather than on quitting smoking.

Concentrate on, and praise, those things you like about your partner, rather than urging them to stop doing things you don’t like.

Concentrate on the abundance you enjoy right now (eg. food, water, good health, good relationships, etc.), rather than trying to end lack and poverty.

This concentration on what you desire causes it to expand so that you experience more and more of what you desire in your life. Which is exactly what you want.

Think about a newborn baby. What has he or she done to deserve to be endlessly loved, supported, catered to and supplied with all available resources without question? Of course, the baby has done nothing and will be unable to offer anyone anything significant for quite a few years. Yet we realize it is the baby’s birth right to be as well cared for as possible. At what age does this stop being our birth right? It never does.

In order to experience our desires, we must be fully open receiving them. If we are open to receiving them; we are an attraction match for them and they will surely enter our experience. If we are not fully open to receiving them, we are not an attraction match for them. Thus they will not come to us; no matter how much and how urgently we want them.

There is nothing good any human being could possibly want that does not exist in our world in enormous abundance. For instance, this world has no shortage of:

Air. Virtually nobody worries about a lack of air.  I’ve never met anyone who limits their breathing due to fears there is not enough air. Air is one abundance everyone appears to believe in.

Money. There are untold trillions of dollars zipping around our world every second of every minute of every day.

Food.  Many scientists believe America alone could grow enough food to feed the entire world lavishly.

Beautiful homes. There’s no shortage of these as any drive around just about any town will prove. Quite a few are vacant.

Career opportunities. Countless high paying jobs are unfilled around the world.

Business Investment. Banks, investment companies and investors, of all sizes, have trillions of dollars available they’d love to use to finance credible business opportunities.

Fine cars.  There are so many of them, dealers often wonder how they’re going to get rid of them all.

Potential love partners. There are plenty of great potential lovers for all of us.

Potential friends. Likewise.

And anything else a human being could possibly want.

It is all here in vast abundance. We don’t have to make any of it. We need merely draw it into our experience. The reason many people lack what they desire is not an inadequate supply. It is that they are not in the habit of receiving their desires and good in general. Many have the opposite habit of pushing their desires away, albeit unintentionally. In order to experience our desires, we must become better receivers. The better we become at receiving our desires, the more we receive. We lack good that we desire mostly because we push it away or reject it; consciously or unconsciously.
